Terms of use
Last updated 5 November 2026
These terms apply when you use The Parallel Code LMS (the "LMS"), run by The Parallel Code. By creating an account or using the LMS, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.
Your account
- Give accurate details. The name on your account is the name printed on your certificates.
- Keep your password safe and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity on it.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms, misuse the LMS, or put other learners at risk.
Courses and content
- Course videos, notes and materials are for your personal learning. Don't copy, resell or republish them.
- We may update, reorganise or retire course content to keep it current.
- Lesson videos are hosted on YouTube, and YouTube's terms of service also apply when you watch them.
Certificates
A certificate is issued when you complete a course's requirements. It shows that you completed the course on the LMS; it isn't a university degree or a government qualification. We may revoke a certificate obtained dishonestly, and its verification page will then show it as revoked.
Placement assistance
Placement assistance is career support: guidance, interview preparation and sharing job openings. It is not a job guarantee. Hiring decisions are made by employers.
Acceptable use
Don't use the LMS to break the law, harass anyone, upload harmful files, try to access other people's accounts, or interfere with how the LMS works.
Free courses and changes
Courses marked free cost nothing to join. We work to keep the LMS available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
